This is where the lambada came from

"Pinduca is a "regional" Brazilian artist who started recording in the 1970s, and is considered the creator of the lambada. This album is made up of re-recorded versions of some of his older hits."
Very disappointed with this disc

"Contrary to the Amazon editorial review this is not "very funny Northeastern" music. This is Amazon music, amazing but too much overlooked both by Brazilians and world music fans.
This particular disc is only worth about 2 stars and I don't recommend it to anyone because it is not the original Pinduca recordings. Somehow Pinduca got the idea in the 1990s that what his fans wanted, apparently, was for him to re-record all of his classics with a slick producer and a heavy emphasis on keyboards and synthesizers. Gone are the beautiful percussion and horn tracks. This record's got no soul."
