QUANTITY, QUALITY AND VERSATILITY

"This double disc CD is absolute the best of the Pioneers. It is definitely a reggae music collector's must have. One can appreciate the older ska sounds on disc one:
No. 7 "Gimmie Little Loving"
No. 8 "Longshot [Bus Me Bet]"
No. 12 "Catch the Beat"
No. 19 "Easy Come, Easy Go"
and notice the growth in their music style on disc two:
No. 1 "I Need Your Sweet Inspiration"
No. 2 "Let Your Yeah Be Yeah" (1971 British top 5)
No. 9 "The World Needs Love"
No. 17 "Little Bit of Soap"
No. 18 "I'm Gonna Knock On Your Door"
Part of the growth in the Pioneers sound can easily be attributed to the change of lead voice. Jackie's versatility etched on Disc Two:
No. 4 "Message to Maria"
No. 20 "My Special Prayer"
is proof enough.
The Pioneers musical acumen has yet to be accomplished."
