"In their second full-length CD, Pirate Jenny shows that the genre of pirate music isn't limited to sea-chanties anymore. This album is a mixture of the style the band has developed over the years and their rock influences. The tales of Scabby the Seaman, Captian Slaymore, and even Pirate Jenny become central to this near rock-opera of an album. Buy it, love it, enjoy it! I know I certainly have!"
Arrrr, join up and ye'll get all the salt pork ye can eat

"Although "Once Upon a Wave" isn't quite as cohesive in theme and style as "Never-Sea Land", it stretches the pirate music genre and has something for everyone. The album includes some fabulous, glittering gems, including my favorite pirate song of all: "Sensitive Guy". This pop-sensation is the song which turned me into a devoted fan for life. Who couldn't adore a band that sings "I'm the only vegetarian on this here schooner, though occasionally I will eat some dolphin-safe tuna"?Other favorites include the dreamy, "Scabby & Captain Slaymore", which conjures up daydreams of building sandcastles on the shore, and "Pirate Jenny", the story of a dastardly pirate and the landlocked lass who loves him."Long Time Sailing" will be a special favorite to Portland natives - the story of how this rollicking crew of pirates became a rock band after setting foot in this "stone colored city with aroma like a beer.""
