Artemis...come back...come back...

"What a great rock album concept. Another classic example of having to play the recording from beginning to end as if it was a story that you did not want interrupted to be able to hear the whole thing all the way through non stop. Tony Carey is a genius with this follow up to his first great album just titled "Planet P Project". This is definitely another one of those albums for headphones and the effects are very engaging with very catchy lyrics and tunes. Tony Carey started this project right after he was done with Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow after their first two albums. This is one of my favorite albums in my whole vast collection. Only one problem and PLEASE NOTE, as with another listener who found a glitch in this Renaissance remaster, I have also found other glitches in the recording. It almost sounds like the tape heads were dirty or out of alignment or something and somebody bumped the tape deck at times. There are "blips" in "A Boy Who Can't Talk" and the whole album recording has a very bad imbalance in clarity favoring the left channel. Very very disappointing and not sure how these mistakes get by. Can't believe someone does not quality control these situations to prevent recordings from getting released this way. But of course this is not the only remastered album with problems and unfortunately it is very frustrating until someone does something about it and re-releases the album again with corrections done! I went back to my vinyl LP and it has a better balance and sound due to this. It is very hard to find but you are probably better off getting the MCA CD version if you can find it. For Tony Carey solo try "Some Tough City" and "Blue Highway" as they were done right after this and are written in almost the same realm as Planet P Project (the Renaissance remasters sound great). Hah did I say solo? Tony Carey does just about everything in all his albums but for some reason Planet P Project is a different side to his music."

"The whole album is a story of a distant future where their "savior" is a boy who can't talk (Artemus). This boy saves the human race (well most of it), from a nuclear war.

The music and lyrics are superb, and I am finally glad to see this album make its way into the digital age without the obnoxious DRM protection.

Remember don't fuel the DRM Enemy, buy AmazonMP3, and help win the DRM war!"
A long search ended.

"Back in the eighties I saw this on cassette tape once then never again for nearly 30 years. Then I found it affordably priced on Amazon on CD. I jumped for joy!! I've always liked Tony Carey from his days in Rainbow to his solo work to the first PlanetP Project cd. now I was able to get the second Phase of Planet P and believe me I was not disappointed. The long wait was worth it!! This takes me back to when albums were produced to sound especially great on headphones and this is one of them. You just have to take the time out to put on the phones sit back and enjoy this sonic masterpiece."
