This album was nominated for the 45th Grammy as "Best Tropical Traditional Album" and for the 4th Latin Grammy as "Best Tropical Traditional Album" . It is a plena album, Puerto Rico's rhythm, fusioned with pwercussio, horns and vocal combined in exciting arangements and combine traditional plena rhythms with contemporary dance-floor styles. Mi Ritmo draws from a wide sonic vocabulary- jazz, raggea, salsa, samba, songo, bomba, merengue and cumbia. Features invited artists Eddie Palmieri, Roberto Rohena and Cachete Maldonado.
