"I was expecting a fairly good record as Stenson was on board (the only musician i know of the bunch) but to my surprise this is a highly developed group that sounds as if they've been playing for years (maybe they have!). Anyways, if you you are familiar with the more 'out' work from Stenson's Ecm projects this is close to it (minus the Ecm chill). The sax player is to write home about with his complex phrasing and deep knowledge of the instrument. All of them are on the same level really. The writting is free-ish but also structured and very melodic. Very enjoyable sound ...the recording is superb! warm and close. Recommended"
