"I love this cd! I was a little doubtful at first when i heard that the three remaining members were going rock, but the result is great. The guys have matured musically and the lyrics to some of the songs have really touched me. Some of my favorites are Outlaw, Poor Man, Exodus and Circle, but come to think of it, i like all of them! The guys wrote all the songs (including their first single, Be love) except for one, a well known worship song. You should definately buy this cd-you won't be disappointed! Plus One, you are the best! And to conlude, three simple words: This cd ROCKS!!!"
Try it out!

"I love this CD. I love the way Plus One weaves God into their songs (all of wich sound different from the others). When I originally got this CD I didn't care for it much. But I decided to give it a chance and it's what I listen to most of the time now. This group is so passionite about God. This CD is rounded toward the Rock side and even has maybe 4 lines of rap. The hardest song is poore man but it talks of Jesus showing a man down the correct raod which will lead to gold (heaven). Awsome CD and suggest it to just about anyone in their teens."

"`Exodus' is the new rock sound of Christian boy band Plus One. When they first appeared on the scene with their slickly over produced debut some years ago, I wouldn't have touched their music with a 10 foot pole.
Then I heard a rocky song from this CD on radio (I don't recall which song it was) which I liked, so decided to give them a try when I saw the CD.
Not bad; not too crazy about the lead singer Nate Cole's Michael Jackson-ish/Darren Hayes whine though, but he does his best with it.
My absolute favourite is the beautiful mid tempo rocker `Exodus' where the flexibility of his voice is really exhibited, and dramatic musical effects and changes. A cry for God's deliverance.
Most of the songs sound like the Newsboys' recent sound.
`Circle' is a tender mid tempo rocker about wanting to `make my life a circle of worship to God'.
Their cover of `Here I am to worship' is good, not as great as the original though.
Opening track `Outlaw' is an upbeat rocker which starts out gentle, and builds to a rocky chorus, and a delightful piano break. It is a song telling us we can outrun our past/blame like an outlaw. A favourite song.
Other standouts are `Be love', `Like a kite', the atmospheric `Sea of angels', the equally atmospheric `Quest of many trails', and the rock guitar laden `Poor man' which tells us we came bare and naked, and will leave just the same. Great guitar effects, with melodramatic changes. Another favourite of mine.
I look forward to new music from Plus one, I just hope they continue to push the envelope as they have with `Exodus'.

"As a music major and one who has studied Gospel music for years and music in general, I think this album is underrated. I love Plus One, both the pop sound and the rock sound. Musically, I think Exodus does some things that most Contemporary Music artists don't do that are musically good. They modulate, they come up with unique melody lines, and the songs DON'T all sound the same. I think it's also unique how they use the piano in their rock sound. It's really cool. Lyrically, it's quite theological. I think Christians and non Christians could learn a lot from the messages in the songs. I think Nate is at his best singing on this album, and I think it's a really good project. Check it out! I highly recommend it."
