CD ReviewsAre Faith No More Back???? koboldt97 | Germany | 01/19/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "I heard from this CD in a MR. BUNGLE/FAITH NO MORE mailing list, and someone told me, that PBS sound exactly like FNM back in the "Real Thing" days. After searching the web for weeks with no ending, I found an auction offering this cd.I got it, and was never amazed like this before!!!!! Buy this cd, if you spot it anywhere and if you love "The Real Thing", this is the only thing I can say!!!!!! Five stars are not enough for that piece of music!!!!!" Good God, it's Patton! Jonathan G. Weston | Jacksonville, NC, USA | 06/08/2000 (4 out of 5 stars) "Cross early (way early: demo tape era) Mr. Bungle with the Beastie Boys and you get Po'Boy Swing. Great stuff. Mark sounds JUST like the great Mike Patton. Definitely be on the lookout for this CD. This is their only release, and they're broken up now. Hilight tracks: Both Ways, Why Bother, Not Fade Away, Baby Make Me Feel (if any song on this CD sounds just like Bungle, this is it), Just Breathing, and She's Mine (doo-wop!).. hell, the whole thing's good.More audio samples @ http://www.w2.com/poboy.html You may still be able to order this CD directly from Royalty Records... give it a shot. From the official homepage:PO'BOY SWING: with Mark DiCarlo, Rob Manaseri, Joel Cataldo, and Paul DiCarlo. IF YOU LIKE IT BOTH WAYS.....Powerful hard rock, funky rap, groovy disco, and 50's doo-wop.....A tongue-n-cheek musical circus that refused to be pigeon-holed within the ordinary alternative genre...An alternative to the alternative sound with a refreshing change from today's music scene....A band that refused to put a label on their music...To say the very least, these guys are different.I give it 4 stars simply because I don't like the Beastie Boys."
