Synopsis

Album Description
Two CD edition. Signify, released in 1996, was the first full album from the British Prog/Art rockers recorded as a full band. The album blends together numerous Rock and avant-garde styles, while absorbing many diverse influences but relying on none. Signify is regarded by the band (and many fans) as one of their finest works and established the band as a highly respected force in the musical underground. The first single from the album, 'Waiting', entered the UK Indie and UK national chart attracting airplay all over Europe. This special edition features a complete bonus album called Insignificance that was previously released as a fan club cassette in an edition of only 500 copies. K-Scope. 2009.

CALL IT WHAT YOU WILL

"In a time when great music is hard to find, I feel lucky at 50yo to have stumbled onto PT. Sort of a meld of YES and Pink Floyd but with a 21st century fresh breeze throughout. Complex and driving one moment then serene and peaceful the next. If you wish Pink Floyd had done more good music just go right ahead and buy this album, you will not be sorry. I never heard the original edition of this but this special edition is very special. Turn down the lights have a sip and climb up the Porcupine tree, the quills are sharp indeed but instead of pain they will awaken your brains inner need for great smooth complex magical music. The girl on the cover art is my aunt Hagatha, she was not harmed in any way during the making of this amazing album. Although she did have some mild ringing in her ears for about 15 hours. . . . OH ! The bonus disk you ask ? Unlike many artists who toss you the leftovers and refuse, PT gives you another entire CD of great music, making this wonderful album nearly twice as good. This is my 6th PT album and I will be looking for more soon. Enjoy ! Say Hi to Hagatha for me as well."
PT Rules!

"This is Porcupine Tree's first album as a full band. Steve Wilson is a musical genius who seems to know how to grab your ear and stick a song in your head, and have it stay hours after you stop listening to it. With a little something for anyone who appreciates the re- birth of prog music will enjoy this album. It is a classic in every sense of the word. "Dark Matter" is a melodic journey and perfect ending to a beautiful music experience."
A GOTHIC PROG JEWEL !!!!!

"Let yourself wrapped arround this expectacular dark expirience, where hypnotic power rock riffs and a gothic - lounge ambience are perfectly and symphonicaly blent together. This, by all means, is one of my favorite PT album.
