From the first downbeat to the last this CD swings like most bands only dream about. This big band will definitely take its place with such greats as Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Harry James, Tommy Dorsey and many others. The trumpet solos played by Dean are so original that he can be recognized as the individual that he is. Mikes' unbelievable sense of swing and awesome dynamics drives the band to fantastic peaks of energy and oneness. People often ask what it feels like for a band of 15 to play as one and the only answer is "AN ORGASM WITH ANOTHER IS FANTASTIC, BUT AN ORGASM WITH 15 IS 'OUTRAGEOUS'!!!
