"Insightfully beautiful, Preisner's Music is an album of a journey to discovery. The fine tunes and warming notes conjure images of a Sunday feast with loved ones. Joyous, dark, melancholic, and subdued, the myriad of contemplative moments allow the listener to momentarily feel Preisner's passion for life and sound, and to see through his eyes the splendour of a vast landscape that slowly unwinds. Preisner's Music is truly inspiriational."
A treasure for those who appreciate beautiful music.

"A beautiful collection of the haunting music of Preisner. Why this gentleman isn't widely known is beyond my comprehension. His Tango is a gem as is his music from Blue and The Double Life of Veronique. A must among collectors of sophisticated music."
Great discovery

"I was striken by the music of the film 'bleu'. Then I bought this greatest as a try. His music is so-o striking! Totally beyond my expectation. Highest recommendation for soundtrack lovers."
"This is the predilect composer of Kielowski , that polish genius .
His music reflects the secret and dark poetry of Kielowski in his films . From the Double life of Veronica , and the most of the chapters of his Decalogue . In the CD you will find the Decalogue No. 1,8 and 9 , so the three colors : Red White and Blue: Secret Garden a film of 1994 .

"This is a choice of different pieces by the author of music to such movies like "Blue", "White","Red", and "Double life of Veronique" by the Polish director Krzysztof Kieslowski. The music has been recorded in a historic salt mine in Poland, called Wieliczka, with wonderful acoustics, and with accompanying choirs and soloists. The music is hauntingly beautiful. This CD covers not only film music by Preisner, but also some of his classical compositions. If you liked the music in Kieslowski's films, try that CD!"
