CD Reviews

The finest Acappella version of Neil Young's classic.

"After many years of searching I finally found it! "After The Gold Rush" is simply the best. As a youngster I played the song on a radio station I was working for.. I received a 'gold record' for playing the song. I was one of the few DJ's who played it and put it on our 'hit' list. "Prelude" makes Acappella a thing of beauty. A must buy for anyone's collection."
This version of "After the Gold Rush" is amazing.

"I have the original record album "After the Gold Rush" that I bought in the student book store at the University of TX in 1976. It was a cutout and there were just boxes of different records stacked up. I had no idea what was on the album but I bought it on a whim. I don't even remember why I picked it up but when I played it I was totally blown away. Especially with "After the Gold Rush". I am going to buy a turntable so that I can play my old albums but I am also buying the CD so that I can hear the high fidelity of digital playback. I would rather have had the actual album but I will settle for a compilation since it does have the best song on it."
Beyond gold

"Yes of course, my nostalgia for Prelude's fabulous treatment of Neil Young's composition had kept me waiting in hope, and finally searching to listen again for one of the great musical cameos. But so much more on this album. The heart-crushing tragedy of 'Platinum Blonde', the melodically atmospheric 'City Tonight', and songs like 'Lost in those Eyes' which recall yet predate the acclaimed Eagles. True riches."
