Good to round out your collection with, but...

"This is probably the most rare of the PUSA CD's; hence, I suppose, the name. The tracks aren't the best, and there are only three songs that are not found in some form on another of their CD's. Two of these, Ca Plane Pour Moi and Novocaine Hurricane, are good, but Too Much Monky Business is easily forgettable. All the rest of the tracks are retreads of other songs. Many are labeled as "4 Track Originals", which I doubt. Let me simplify this: If you didn't like "Tiki Lounge God", skip it. It's too expensive. However, if you would like to complete your PUSA collection, go ahead. You can join me in my Novocaine Hurricane."

"This is awesome! I love this CD. It rocks, I can't believe some people didn't rate it 5 stars. I mean with all the cool songs, Volcano, Peaches, Video Killed the Radio Star, Lump, they are all good. Anyway, I rate this the best CD ever."

"The pleasure associated with listening to PUSA has never been a highly intellectual one, it's just about having a good time while the boys 'kick out the jams'. If you agree with this definition Rarities won't let you down. But I'll go further: the only problem I have with both of PUSA'albums is that they get a bit repetitive, most of the songs are played as fast as possible, and this speedy tempo sometimes does more harm than good. Here, the variety of the materials (demos, lives, and other non-released stuff) breaks the monotony of PUSA's studio albums, which is probably why I listen to Rarities more than to their other albums. A case in point is "Volcano": though it is OK in its album version, here, in its laid back demo-track version, it comes out as a really great song. The live versions are a bit uneven but they put across the wacky charm of PUSA very well, bad jokes and all. Last but not least, Ca plane pour moi is a very descent rendition of Belgian punk Plastic Bertrand's everlasting standard. Yeah, you can never be serious with those guys..."

"The Presidents can do no wrong and this CD helps prove this. They throw in several original recordings of songs which is different to listen to compared to the final releases. Finally Novocaine Hurricane is just an amazing song and I feel that every P.U.S.A. fan should listen to it. Do yourself a favor and buy this album."
