"My love of die Prinzen started 2 years ago, in 8th grade German class. One of the German videos that go along with our textbook included the "Millionaer" music video. That is an absolutely awesome song, and a hilarious video. Anyway, "Schweine" is the only album I own, but I really like it. It is indeed extremely techno, and I would recommend having a tolerance of techno music before buying this cd. But I really do like it. Die Prinzen are really funny. Their singing is wonderful and the lyrics (the ones i understand) are great. My favorite song is "Kannst du mir noch einmal verzeih'n?". It's great, but I don't really like "Hau' endlich ab" because this woman with a really high voice sings it. If you like die Prinzen, or even if you've never heard them before, you should like this cd."
A more modern approach

"This is the fourth album, and it is totally different from what was released before, because it doesn't concentrate on the a capella as much. Instead, it adds some more modern sounds. Don't worry, they didn't start screaming and throw in some trash-techno. Their voices sound just as nice, it's just that they are combined with other elements now. You don't even have to know what techno is, to like this, because it's not. It's their own way of incorporating synthesizers and creating a new Prinzen-Style. It's just as fun as the previous albums, maybe a little more mature..."
Toll!

"One of the things which I really like about Die Prinzen is that they are always trying new things instead of (like some groups) releasing album after album that all sound exactly the same! This album has a lot of techno sounds incorporated into the songs. The music is still really cool, and I really enjoyed it. Absolutely worth buying, regardless of whether or not you speak German, and even better if you do! The band can really sing well, in a way that no other band can, and this album shows that they can also do techno, which is really cool!As a side note, I believe that the previous reviewer was referring to "Was Gut ist" when he spoke of a "tender love song." The song which he sited was "Hau Entlich Ab" (Get out of here). Anyway, no big deal... =-)"
Well put together without being over-produced.

""Schwein" proves that pop/rock musicians can harmonise without sounding like something that BBC Radio 2 would play. For a non-native speaker like myself, it's also excellent for learning new German vocabulary, the lads from Leipzig have excellent diction, good songs - and a wonderful sense of humour! Previously known more for their Acapella work, "Schwein" is great fun indeed mixing a wide range of styles from the sheer crazy 'Sinnloses Lied' and 'Entspann Dich' (we all have problems getting up in the morning sometimes!) to the rather more gloomy 'Schwarz'- something of a little dig at trendy black-pseudo Goth poseurs perhaps? 'Schwein sein' has a very sarcastic little jab at the members of the Bundestag and in similar mood, the cynical 'Geld' is rather more in their old style as is 'Müde' and 'ich will ein Baby'. ' 'endlich ab' is, unashamedly a softly intimate love-song - a rather surprising inclusion, but yes, it does work. I look forward to hearing more of them!"
