Absolutely brilliant

"What would happen if the SHANGRI-LAS cut an album with guest vocalist JOAN JETT backed by up by THE CRAMPS singing songs co-written by Greenwich, Barry, Jett and the boys from GREENDAY? I don't know, but I bet it would sound a lot like THE PRISSTEENS' "SCANDAL, CONTROVERSY AND ROMANCE. ... The last review states that this CD does not hold up to repeat exposure, but I totally disagree and found it grew on me even more as time went by. ... All true rock fans (real rock that is) should own this CD."
This is the most fun music coming out of New York today.

"This CD is easily the best thing I've heard this year, a combination of 60's sensibility and 90's attitude, devilishly blended in a way that only could have come out of New York City. Not only are the songs tremendous, but the production is something that Phil Spector would be proud to call his own. Check out the title cut, as well as I Don't Cry. The drumming is powerful and the songs glisten with deft song-writing and vocals that alternate between jackhammer hard and lilting harmonies."
The Lillith Fair backlash have arrived!

"With a nod to the Shangra-Las, the Ronnettes, the Sonics and the Kinks the Prissteens deliver the best straight foward rock'n'roll record of the year!"
