"Three bands kept real metal from dying in the 90's: Pantera, Fear Factory and Pro-pain. If you've never heard of these guys, (my heart goes out to you) you're in for a high-volume treat. If you are a fan of the 2 other bands I mentioned, there's just no way you won't be knocked out by Pro-pain. These guys are where all 3 decades of headbanging meet. They have the H-bomb agression and chewed-glass vocals of the 90's, the awsome tightness and power of 80's thrash, and the ability to write a catchy song that almost died in the 70's. How can you have a Biohazard-like hardcore band with "catchy" songs? I don't know, but Pro-pain did it. Stand-out cuts are "Foul taste of freedom" and "In for the kill". My only complaint is the exclusion of two of my favorite songs from "The truth hurts" and "Contents under pressure". Still, If you want to hear one of the most brutally heavy albums ever made, while singing along, then buy this CD, and leave that drum machine junk for the teenie-boppers."
