"Quiet Elegance is made up of former members of The Glories and the Vandellas (Martha's). It's a different sound than Martha's group. I'm not familiar with The Glories, so can't compare it to them. It's definitely a rougher R&B sound with great leads and backrounds. An interesting CD for girl group fans. Wish they would have stuck around longer and recorded more. They do remind me of the Love Lites, which is another hard to get girl group cd. I image this cd is primarily for girl group fans. Worth adding to your collection. Enjoy!"
Great Soul Group

"I hated that this group didn't get the noteriety they deserve. Quiet Elegance was one of the most soulful female groups out along side Patti Labelle and the Bluebelles and the Sweet Inspirations. Quiet Elegance has a harder soulful sound though. My favorites songs on this CD are both the Al Green cuts "Have You Been Making Out Ok", and "Tired of Being Alone". As well as the second cut " Do You Love Me". I hate that the lead vocalist of the group Frankie Gearing didn't further her singing career as a soloist. She would've probably be in the blues genre today. If you want some great soul music for you ears check out Quiet Elegance."
