CD Reviews

Lotus! I ate it!

"Well, just reading the Amazon review, saying that it was extremly limited, I got very excited. I found this sitting in a Waves music store in a mall. Its plastic was really beat up and it looked strange, a weird package. I picked it up one day. I opened and I see this quaint little CD peering up at me. I drove home and plugged it in and the rest is history. Two tracks, total about 10 minutes 12 seconds. First one is the album track of Lotus, which is trippy in its own right. I love it, I mean, I bought the single because of the title, Lotus. The second track is a live studio track of Suspicion, which I love beyond the album version. Its longer, has more feeling and a heavier guitar part. They took down the keyboard and the guitar is more emphisized. I enjoyed it muchly, if you can find it, buy it. Its a great conversation starter and as far as I know, I'm the only one in my high school, nay, the county who has seen something like this. Oh, a word of warning, if you have a CD player that does not have a tray, (For example, all of those car CD player, the ones where you directly feed CDs into the little slot), the CD will get stuck inside. 3 inchers are rare to begin with, but if you look on almost any CD tray, there's a little indent in the middle of the tray. If you never knew why it was there before, you know now. Its for playing 3 inch CDs. I tried a 3 inch in a feeder player once and I had to fish it out with a special plumbing instrument (I dont know where that came from, but it was mightily useful.)"
Great new version of "Suspicion"

"This 3-inch single from Japan contains only two tracks, but it is well worth the price just for the "live-in-the-studio" version of "Suspicion." Unlike the mostly electronic version on the "Up" album, this version of "Suspicion" is driven by guitar. It gives the song a completely different feel, but it is just as absorbing as the original studio version. Warning: if your CD player is not equipped to play 3-inch CDs, you will need an adaptor to play the single!"
