Synopsis

Album Description
Rachael Lampa has come of age in the blink of an eye. It eems like yesterday we eagerly watched the adorable 15-year old performing on the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" the day her debut album, Live For You, hit stores in 2000(the first such debut for any Christian artist). She has blossomed into a graceful muse whose charm, self-deprecating wit and stunning voice wins every time?and those powerful vocals far exceed her 21 years and tiny 5' frame. Throughout her teens, the Dove Award-winning songstress had many chart-topping hit songs written for her, but most recently she took creative control by writing or co-writing all 11 tracks on 2004's self-titled release. As Rachael continues to spread her wings and develop more fully as an adult artist, Word Records proudly presents a 17-song treasury spanning four albums:Blessed: The Best of Rachael Lampa.

"Discovered by legendary producers Brown Bannister and Brent Bourgeois at one of Colorado Christian music conferences, gorgeous mami Rachel Lampa brings us "Blessed: The Best of Rachel Lampa". With four albums under her belt (her 2000 debut album, "Live For You", 2002's "Kaleidoscope" and "Blur"-her remix album and 2004's self-titled, "Rachel Lampa"), her star continues to rise the Kingdom of Heaven daily. My personal favorites are the heart-moving ballads, "No Greater Love", "There Is Still A Dream" (featuring legendary R&B crooner-turned Christian singer Aaron Neville), "Blessed", the pop-inspired songs, "Savior Song", "I'm All Yours" and "You Lift Me Up". The whole album is tight from the first track to the last. Also, enjoying equal success are her Word Music labelmates Jaci Velasquez and Nicole C. Mullen.

If you think that Rachel Lampa's Best Of.... album was tight, check out the Best Of.... albums from both Jaci Velasquez and Nicole C. Mullen. You won't be disappointed. Even though Rachel is 50% Filipina, 25% Irish and 25% Hungarian, she has proven to be 100% Christian. Rachel Lampa. One of Christian music's promising and prominent artists. Keep her in your prayers as she continues to praise the Lord's name through her music. Praise the Lord!"

"1. Blessed - one of Rachael Lampa's best songs. She starts out singing pretty low, and by the end of the song her voice is wonderfully high. 10/10

2. Beautiful - this is a easy-listening song with a bit of a R&B feel to it. Very soulful and nice. 8/10

3. Outrageous - It's got a good beat, but it's not my favorite song on the album. 6/10

4. Shaken - This is a remix of the original song, but it's got a great beat with great lyrics. 8/10

5. Always Be My Home - the song that made me fall in love with Rachael's music. I sing this song at church, it's one of my favorites. Rachael at her best. 10/10.

6. Live For You - it's got a Mexican-feel to it, but I love it. It's got great lyrics and a good beat. One of her best fast songs. I sing this one at church as well. :D 10/10

7. Savior Song - pretty good lyrics and a beat, but not one of my favorite songs on the album. It can feel a little repetitive. 7/10

8. You Lift Me Up - this song was the first song I'd ever heard from Rachael. Very good beat and lyrics. One of her best fast songs. 10/10

9. Day of Freedom - When I first heard this song on the "Live For You" album, I was like...."Um....no". But I have grown to LOVE this song. The lyrics are great, good beat. 10/10

10. No Greater Love - My FAVORITE song on the album. I love most all of her slow songs, but this one defiantly stands out from the others. It's a beautiful song. I sing this one at church as well. 10/10

11. I'm All Yours - Fast song with a good beat and lyrics. It's nice, and very different. 8/10

12. God Loves You - Fast song with great lyrics! 8/10

13. When I Fall - My favorite fast Rachael Lampa song. It sounds very different from her other fast songs. Got this one playing in my myspace profile. It's got great lyrics with a pop/rock beat. I sing this one at church as well. 10/10

14. There Is Still A Dream w/ Aaron Neville - I love it. It's a great duo song, and Rachael does a great job. 10/10

15. My Father's Heart - WONDERFUL slow song that really showcases her vocals. This was the very first Rachael Lampa song I sung at church. 10/10

There are two more songs on the album that are remixes of Savior Song and Day of Freedom, so I'm not going to rate them

That totals 135 out of 150 points, which is 4 ½ stars, which rounds to 5 stars. :D I'd defiantly recommend this album to any Christian pop music fan.

"This album has all her best songs on one c.d. She even has a brand new song called "There is still a dream". It is the most beautiful ballad i have ever heard her sing.
