"I know why my Italian friend did not hear much, (he heard much in a chinese clown Lang Lang - so it is not surprising that he hears nothing in Browning!) but for Russian and many other ears outside of Rachmaninoff himself you would be extremely hard pressed to find a more sophisticated, mature, intelligent, warm and loving reading of Rachmaninoff's texts. This recording is of great value not only to music and piano lovers, but also to Rachmaninoff lovers. It happens simply too often when his music is butchered by so called "virtuosi" like Lang Lang or Lugansky, for example, who not only misunderstand it but also don't love it.
Here, in Mr. Browning's reading, one hears not only a phenomenal pianist, a real virtuoso, but also a very honest, intelligent and dedicated musician, a real patrician! Bravo!!"
