"I first saw them live, at the Melbourne Exhibition Building, for the Skatefest, in 1975. This cd is just like being there. Never again could I listen to corporate mainstream. They were one of the first bands to put out indie releases in Oz. This would have to be the most tragically overlooked bands of all time. I've owned thousands of albums over the years, and the first Birdman releases are about the only ones that have never been traded or discarded.

IF you can find it, check out New Race-First and Last, a combo of Birdman and the Stooges. Like Butter. OK, so about the music. Sheer garage. These guys are Stooges 2.0."
