From bathtime and teddy bears to red birds and little white ducks, this Raffi album is filled with an enthusiastic spirit of fun! "My sister and I grew up listening to this Raffi tape in the car. I just chanced to come across this album on Amazon again today - I had forgotten about him. But his voice is very soothing and always calmed my younger sister and I down.
A good story and reason to buy this CD:
My dad was in the car with mom, my sister, and I when Mom popped the tape into the player (at our request) Dad rolled his eyes and asked her why she would play such a tape when the two of them (Mom and Dad) were in the car. Mom pointed to the back of the car where we were singing along and didn't ask anymore questions. Apparently we were asleep by the end of the tape (that's what they tell us). After that Dad too became a fan of Raffi - he's sing the Bathtime song to get us into the tub and shook his sillies out too... The Christmas album is also a sure deal!
I would recommend this for children ranging in age from 6mos-seven or eight years. The age really depends on the age of the oldest child though. So if there are only younger siblings, it could last longer - older siblings, seven may be a stretch.
Overall enjoy b/c unlike Barney and Disney CDs, this one is actually decent for parents too - acoustic guitar and soothing voice... even the kids in the background don't go crazy!"
Raffi's Talent at His Best -- a Garden Haiku Recommendation

"Poetry and music always go hand in hand. If Garden Haiku is the poetry, Raffi's "Everything Grows" is its music companion. This collection is Raffi's versatile talent at full speed. There are singable songs for family moments (Bathtime, Eight Piggies and Teddy Bear Hug). There are danceable songs for music and movement session (Brown Girl in the Ring, Let's Make Some Noises and The Mountain Polka). There are two precious international children's songs(Savez-Vous, Russian & Haru Ga Kita, Japanese). The theme "Everything Grows" rings through all songs and summarizes the CD with sound of waves to introduce "Just like the Sun" that says the prayer of thankfulness for gifts mother nature gives for everyone. These are "delightful music for every childhood mood. Here is Raffi at his most enchanting." (CD insert)."

"I loved singing these songs along with my daughter when she was little.
At that time the songs were recorded on cassette tapes. Now my daughter is 24 years old and I'm hoping it won't be long before I have grandchildren. I purchased this CD along with a few others to have for my grandchildren. I don't know who will enjoy them more, me or the grandkids!"
