Product Description2010 release. On the surface a compilation boasting compositions by Jan Václav Voøíek (1791- 1825) and Franz Schubert (1797-1828) already seems extremely interesting and there are parallels between the two composers: they were contemporaries who lived similarly tragically short lives and both worked in Vienna. There are also similarities in artistic terms; both Schubert and Voøí ek created brilliant compositional links between the classical and romantic periods. The pieces presented here belong to the genre of lyric piano pieces which came into fashion at the beginning of the 19th century. Aris Musici.
