"This cd by Six-string wizard Ralf Illenberger has some really cool phrasing in the guitar parts, snappy hip-hop beats and unusual instrumentation. Even the laid-back tracks are nice and relaxing. This German guitarist has been around since the 1980's and has many out-of-print CDs that are well worth finding. I suggest that listeners who are into some unique and advenurous contemporary jazz should seek his "Soleil" CD from the Narada label. Its one of the most brilliant pieces of music i've ever heardand is in my top five all time favorite jazz collection. Every song is is well composed and worth listening to and the musicianship is first rate. You'll also find that his acoustic guitar string bending and tone gives him a sound that is unmistakably his own. Its an absolute shame this artist's albums cannot be distributed all over the world."
