Joyful and exuberant; Delicate and sensitive delivery

"This album takes the full range of the harpsichord instrument with all its embellishments. Highly complex composition with the left carrying the bass. The right carrying the melody. Alternating harmonies. All registers explored. It is hardly apparent that the harpsichord has limited dynamic range. This is due to the skill of the composer (Jean-Philippe Rameau) and the skill of the performer (Gilbert Rowland). This particular album contains the breadth and depth of Rameau's mastery of the solo instrument of the mid-1700s (Suite in A minor, Suite in G major, Pieces de Clavecin en Concerts, La Daphine), all written for the harpsichord. Add this album to your valuable collection of 18th century music."

"1. Gilbert Rowland's playing was first-rate on Vol. 2 (as good as Vol. 1)
2. This is the best harpsichord music recording I've heard in quite awhile. (This quality level equals that of Vol. 1)
3. The price ($6/US) was a bonus! (same as Vol. 1)
I rate this five stars!"
