Digitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of albums from the Soul vocalist: Welcome To My Room (1978), produced by the renowned Soul partnership of Homer Banks and Carl Hampton, and Midnight Desire (1980), with Chuck Brooks replacing Hampton as Banks' co-producer. This pairing of albums is described on the noted Soulwalking website as "the high points of his career", and have long been sought in CD format by Soul collectors. Randy Brown provided an oasis of Soul serenity at the end of a veritable desert of Disco with his albums in the late 1970s, with Homer Banks' production adding Southern Soul intensity to the bedroom styling that had proved so successful for Barry White.
