A beautiful romantic soundtrack for film score fans

"Randy Edelman is an interesting composer who doesn't seem to get any big projects despite his talents. Just as his score for The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor was a rousing orchestral score, he has created another wonderful score for Leap Year. I was actually going to skip this after I heard the samples online because for some reason they sampled the strange slow celtic pieces. However, this score has a lot of tracks and for the sake of completion I think it was a good choice to include all the score, even the tracks that aren't my kind of music.
The meat of this score is in beautiful romantic melodies, many of which give me the chills. There is a heavy use of strings, woodwinds, and acoustic guitar along with the occasional Celtic instruments and a few bluegrass tracks. If you like beautiful film scores that you can listen to while you relax and read a good book, you should give this one a try. Randy Edelman has done it again."

"
This is my new favorite movie as is the music. I never thought any soundtrack could be as good as the Becoming Jane CD but this one is right up there. I also think there needs to be more Declan's in the world. Ah Romance.
Randy Edelman is a musical genius!

"I love this soundtrack, and was delighted to discover it was the original score, not the pop songs. The other songs in the movie are good, but the original score and the breathtaking scenery made the movie worth watching repeatedly. It makes one want to move to Ireland!"
