Supposedly Bryan Duncan owns Red Road Records - but there is no website. Maybe this is Randy helping raise money for Larry Norman's family with the old tracks Randy did with Larry?



Most of this collection of MP3s is originally from three of Randy's early (Larry Norman produced) albums. Included is a version of "Even the Best of Friends" which Larry did not produce - but I believe the song is about Larry.



These are re-recorded versions. The entire original albums would be a better purchase. But, these are well done.

"In 1976 Randy Stonehill released one of the most influential albums ever in the emerging Jesus Movement entitled WELCOME TO PARADISE. Produced by Larry Norman on Solid Rock Records, it quickly became the standard by which all other Christian rock music was compared. "Randy Stonehill rocks on this new release. This album features eleven fresh studio recordings of some of Randy's best known songs from his early years.



The album serves as a soundtrack for the upcoming motion picture, FALLEN ANGEL, which examines the faith and friendship of Larry Norman and Randy Stonehill as they were apart of the Jesus People Movement that led to Jesus Music which is known today as Contemporary Christian Music (CCM).



If you're not familiar with Randy's music this is an excellent introduction, but certainly not exhaustive. His new songs are just as fresh and original and have a spiritual depth these songs only begin to reach.



It's becoming en vogue to re-record your standards, but Stonehill takes them all to a new level, musically and sometimes lyrically.
