Finally...

"Randy VanWarmer is sorely missed. Not only was he gifted as a songwriter / vocalist / performer, but above and beyond he was just a down-to-earth, friendly, nice guy. Finally the legacy left us via his four Bearsville LP's are in the grasp of consumers in a digitally remastered format. [Yay!] On this disc is the well recognized "Warmer" album, already in release as a CD in Japan in at least three runs: original issue, 20 bit remaster, and K2HD mini LP sleeve issue. It is excellent work, to be sure, but what is new here is the fantastically underrated, mostly unheard, (except by Randy's fans) "Terraform". His sweet arrangement of the traditional church hymn "Farther Along" has always been one of my favorites that has never shown up on any CD collection until now. Title track "Terraform" with it's acapella opening has always been very haunting. My personal favorite is "Whatever You Decide" - a song that speaks of a man frustrated and fatigued by the indecision of his lover:
"You're so afraid of being wrong, your chances will be gone before you choose one. Someone has to lose. It's getting late, so throw it in. 'Cause everyone loses if nobody wins. Whatever you decide - it's alright by me." [Randy VanWarmer]
The lines are so pure and simple in their logic.
I am so happy that someone in a position to procure license and issue these on compact disc has finally understood their value and worth, and has given us the opportunity to obtain such wonderful masterpieces.

"Those of you from earth already know "Just When I needed You Most" no review necessary. Terraform ("Falling Free") and "Farther Along" are two great tracks overlooked during original release and now put back in circulation where they belong. Great music. Remastering is done well."

"This songwriter- performer was a real American Treasure and too overlooked by music buyers. His own songs, as sung by Mr. VanWarmer, have an energy that makes the songs so enjoyable and full of feeling. His songs covered/ performed by others who recognized his talents as a song writer are great but the energy and style are best delivered by the writer. I am grateful to now have his work on CDs. I miss the man and hurt for his family- Suzi, Thanks for sharing Randy with the rest of us. And "I'm just one of millions in this human race". When I look up to the night sky, I think of Randy...
