"This single was his most popular U.S. hit. He wrote it in the 70s, when he was only 18 years old. I notice that many of his releases are out of stock on Amazon. Unfortunately, his passing will probably cause some of them to be re-released, so I'd watch for new availabilities. What a great voice. Just thinking about the song can bring tears to my eyes."

We all know Randy van Warmer from the hits he wrote for others, but it was far too infrequently that he got kudos on his own. And, all the important tunes are here; the songs that you will recall easily (but usually some else's version!).
This man was a huge talent & this CD is essential, but I urge any who have read this far to seek out his other music as well.
I have all off his work on vinyl, but was dismayed to discover that this is virtually the only album out there for those of us who love his music.
If I were the music coordinator for this album (& I AM a music coordinator) I would have included more of his quirky, off kilter stuff; the music that perhaps you don't think of when you think of Randy van Warmer, a sort of "the exception proves the rule"- such as "Like a Rock" & "Suzi got a Weapon"(which ARE here), but also "Amen": "Send us your money-
we will pray for you.
