"Not remastered, but great low price. If you don't have this one, then it's worth checking out. Some killer tracks, from Ratt."
Good import SHMCD release in place of a "Remaster"

"Every Ratt fan knows this album, so I won't go into artist/album quality too much- just that this is my favorite. I've been waiting for this album to be remastered for awhile and this is as good as it gets for now. Sure it's expensive as a SHMCD 24-bit master (not advertised as "remastered") release, but there is a definite sound improvement over the original CD release. The one con: the mastering tends to have "muddy" bass compared to all the tracks that are currently available on the Ratt remastered compilation CD's. About half of the tracks are available on remastered compilations. "Deep end bass" on the remasters tends to sound like "mid-bass" on this release. On a high-end system with a subwoofer this is the case, but on portables such as an mp3 player it's not nearly as noticable. Who knows, maybe this release is a "flat" transfer true to the original master tape. Whether it's worth purchasing, it's how much of a fan you are of Ratt- for half of the tracks sounding better than what's currently available."
