Excellent vocal performances; a solid CD

"Raul's "Sueno su Boca" is an outstanding Latin pop CD. The songs are a mix of slow ballad-type songs and fast dance-pop songs. Raul is an excellent vocalist: his voice is rich, supple, expressive, and very versatile. He has a lot of what you might call "vocal charisma," and his enunciation of the songs' Spanish lyrics really brings out the full beauty and emotional potential of the language.The CD starts off strong with "Susanna," a dance-pop song featuring a very aggressive, dynamic vocal and some nice guitar accents. The next song, "Fue una Locura," is a dramatic change of pace, with a more intense, serious flavor.Othe highlights include the sultry "Amame, Besame, Sienteme," which reminds me of the style of Luis Miguel; "Descalzo por los Suenos," which has a soft, romantic feel; and the fun, upbeat "Baila," which has an instrumental stress on horns and percussion. Also memorable is "Dias de Lluvia," a slow, intense song with a slightly weepy vocal performance; this type of "heart-on-your-sleeve" song can sometimes come off campy, but Raul pulls it off beautifully. And as a bonus there's an alternative version of the CD's title song. Overall, a really great Latin CD; in my opinion, you don't need to understand a word of Spanish to appreciate this exciting vocalist."

"I'm a fan of Raul since I saw him on Television in His and my native Country Spain, since them I have all of his CD's. I made it my business to have his CD's mail to me as soon as they come on the market, to me he is one of the finess singers of my Country, But I'm still loyal to my all time favorite Juan Pardo, But raul is right there next to him. I love Raul's way and I will keep on buying his CD's as long as he keeps on making them.
