Extraordinary debut cd

"This is one of the great piano cd's I've heard . Schuch's
skill, maturity,
would be the envy of any pianist; at age 25 when recorded, simply jaw-dropping.
My reference Kreisleriana is Horowitz. Schuch offers a more
colorful, expansive, improvisatory reading that made me really like this work for
the first
time.
His Miroirs can look my reference Casadesus and Richter recordings in the eye;
and they
would blink. A "Barque" that inhabits not only the surface, but takes us into
the water's
depths, a sea of Winslow Homer, not just La Mer. His "Valles de cloches" is an
elegant, grand unfolding that makes it a fitting conclusion, not just an after-
thought to
the "Alborado." This is not Ravel for the faint of hand.
Absolutely remarkable, richly detailed playing. Let us hope
he
continues to grow the enormous talent this well-chosen debut cd evidences.Puts
to shame
most recent competition "winners" I've heard recently."
