"A mix of cool folk, country, blues. Tasteful musicians. Ranging from upbeat tempos and lyrics to simple but extremely poignant ballads. I can play this one 10 times in a row and want to hear it again right away."

"This is a CD that I bought amidst a bevy of used discs and what a wallop it packs! The title track alone is worth the price of the disc. It's currently perched at #2 in my personal top ten (behind Van Morrison's "Evening In June") and it won't take much more than a gust of wind to blow this one into my top spot. Colin Linden who is one of Canada's unsung treasures produces this disc. The title track snakes at a midtempo pace and sounds like Dylan with the Band, "I heard some advice, I can't recall when, Never hold on too tight to a gust of wind." My other favorite on the disc is the slow and soulful "Oh, It's You" with Richard Bell on the B3 organ as the singer tries to pretend he's over a broken relationship. Bluegrass legend Tim O'Brien guests on mandolin on "Canary Yellow Car." Bonneville explores a kind of blues/pop hybrid. This is an excellent disc from this Canadian come to the U.S. Enjoy!"

"Bonneville has been around and is indeed a treasure from the Montreal Blues scene. Like all of his previous albums, Bonneville delivers excellent blues. His first album On the Main was almost discontinued at one time but the man has got drive and love for his music and the CD was re-released fortunatly. Bonneville will amaze any fan of this genre. Don't confuse his country material blended with bluesy influences. It's never sappy. His guitar talents and voice have this earthy feeling plus his band sounds straight out of the garage. The end result is solid unpretentious blues. Catch him if you can when in Montreal. Most of his solo gigs are a true down-to-earth experience."
