"This album is one of the Ray's masterpiece unknown for the American audience. Originally recorded in late December, 1974 at the premises of the All Union Recording Company "Melodiya" with Russian musicians and singers, this LP was sold in millions in the USSR, but never in the States.Based mainly on Soviet pop-melodies (except the first track "Ray Conniff in Moscow") this album though has unforgettable Ray's "happy beat" sound. Perfect melodies and perfect arrangements! Ray Conniff in his interview given to "Los Angeles Times" in 1975 rather mournfully noticed: "It's a shame that my friends and some record-company people are the only Americans who will probably ever hear this album."25 years passed, and thanks to Amazon you can finally buy the album now."
