"Mike Dutton has done a marvelous job with the transfers in this first volume of the complete Noble/Bowlly recordings. Originally produced for EMI's World Record Club in 1980, these sessions are being released in their entirety for a new generation of fans. Dutton Labs has already issued a Volume 2, and will hopefully finish the series within a years time. If you think this disc is wonderful check out the "Vocalion" issues by Maurice Winnick, Lew Stone, Roy Fox and others. What Mike Dutton has done for the world of historical classical recordings, he is now doing for the wonderful British Dance Bands of the 1930' and 40's. A must have."
An Incredible Band As You've Never Heard It Before!

"Noble's New Mayfair Orchestra was legendary. While many Ray Noble records have been released over the years, none have equalled the sound quality heard on this disk. This is Volume I of a "complete" set. I can't wait for the rest of the volumes. Unquestionably the finest of British dance bands ---- and listen to the quality of the jazz performances---simply outstanding!"
