C'mon, get down with your bad self!

"this is a fun CD spotlighting several Warner Brothers tracks that deal with music or dancing. the CD opens up with "Feel the Music" and then glides into his Dance Trilogy ("Do You Wanna Dance"/"When You Dance"/"Save The Last Dance For Me"). there's some disco toe tappers here ("Can't Stop Dancing", which would hit the Top-20 for the Captain and Tennille) and country flavors ("Honky Tonk Waltz", "Country Licks", and "You've Got The Music Inside"). "Blues Love Affair" is a road song and it paints a portrait of life on the road (C.B.'s and all things truckin' were the big fad for country music at the time) Ray returns to his R&B roots once again on the Old Faithful Trilogy ("Shake a Hand"/ "Since I Met You Baby"/ "Always"). this CD, like the other two, is a must for Warner Brothers hungry fans. this 1976-1979 era in Ray's career is truly marvelous and so darn good that it sickens me that record labels continue to pay a lot of attention to his 1968-1974 songs. on some CDs his RCA years are represented by his 1980 hit and his MCA years hardly get any spotlight beyond a few singles in 1984 and 1985. his Warner Brothers years, represented by 1976's "In The Mood", and 1979's "I Need Your Help, Barry Manilow", deserve better. except for these 1995 CDs, which are not in stores in abundance, his Warner Brothers sessions are still unavailable."
