"I just heard the new title track "In The Morning" on Sirus this morning. It's even better than anything they've done previously. It's got all the stuff we love about Razorlight and although you can tell Johnny is there, this one may have been written by the band - we'll have to wait to see it released.
Although known as Johnny Borrell's band, Razorlight lays down an incredible screaming raw wall of sound with a constantly surprising thread of brilliant chords and subtle themes intertwined to make you smile at all the right places. Sometimes it's a new song, sometimes it's a pause or phrase, always it's a brilliant layering of song, lyric, and sound. In The Morning is no exception but it does try to go to a new level......it sounded like it succeeded to me.
As usual with my Razorlight reviews, because they release lots of non-album tracks, here is the listing of the plethora of extra and bonus tracks on CD Singles, EPs, Albums, DVDs, Import, Export, Japanese, U.S., U.K. and other versions that are not on the standard CD Album releases:
