CD ReviewsEmpowered Ex-Girlfriend ardisia | Washington, DC USA | 10/02/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "Typically, I wouldn't find myself listening to a CD like this, I'm more of a Retro rather than Punk girl, but my boyfriend went down south for Spring Break and saw Reform play. He came back with their CD and a lot of stories I didn't care to hear about; however, having no choice when he's the driver I had to listen (to the CD not him, of coarse). Point is, I am empowered by their music and intrigued by the stories their lyrics tell. My boyfriend and I have since broken up and having stole this CD from him has really helped to get me through it (shhh, I don't think he's noticed yet.) I can't help but get pumped up whenever I hear it. Not to mention the guys are HOT! Next Spring Break, I'm going to Daytona, not for the keg parties and beach (although that's cool too) but to hear them live! Do yourself a favor, girls, BUY IT!" Indie doesn't mean suckie ardisia | 09/19/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "I got this CD from a friend who said that I definitely needed to listen to it. Well knowing him I threw it in the back seat, where it lay for 2 weeks until I decided to clean my car. So as I was cleaning my car I threw it in the CD player and within a couple minutes I found myself thoroughly impressed. The lyrics actually mean something, not just a bunch of obscure poetry meant to depress me. The guitar sound is diverse and cleverly combined with the feel of the songs. The drumming, oh my god, is unbelievable. I heard this guy has only been playing for four years. Bottom line, you'd be doing yourself a favor by getting this CD. Just one question - on the inside cover Chaz thanks Shame, who the hell are they?MPK"
