CD Reviews

Wow, some people are really stupid.

"Let's set a few things straight:
1)The title is FRENCH, not Spanish.
2)It's 'ok' for something not to be 'hardcore' or 'screamo'
3)It's also 'ok' to try something 'different'*GASP!*
4)Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but some people are morons and should never procreate *looks in the direction of the past 2 reviewers*
With that said, we can now continue with the actual review. I have not a bad thing to say about this cd. The songs are catchier than the plague. Each one of them is amazing in one way or another. Like previous Recover songs, most of them are laced with style changes, little solos, dissonant guitars, and amazing vocals. Contrary to other views on this page, the "screams" are more tasteful and meld better with the style of the songs. Additional vocals and a piano interlude or two by the one and only Rory Allen Phillips (of impossibles/slowreader/imbroco/the20goto10 and a thousand other bands-fame) do nothing but sweeten the deal on this 13 minute eargasm. Just because it's not the last recover cd doesn't mean it's bad. Maybe this cd was titled "This is Not Recover" for a reason.....think about it a little =) Rockin' goodness at its best."

"I saw Recover live and they floored me.... this EP unfortunately lacks the punch or visceral intensity of their live show, and is more or less a total departure from Rodeo and Picasso. Still, these guys can write a good song, and all 5 of these will end up stuck in your head. "My Only Cure" and "Push Push" are upbeat, infectious rock with a touch of 'emo'. If you get a chance to see them, go."
