"I was so shocked to find this at the store, since I was a huge fan of Chilled Euphoria, definately the best chillout album I have ever heard. I decided to put my faith in Red Jerry again, and he surpassed my expectations. I hate to compare this album with the first Chilled Euphoria, but I was expecting it to be a lot the same. Instead, the CD takes an even more relaxing and soothing path, hence the name, DEEP & Chilled Euphoria. This isn't an album to listen to in your car. When you buy this, set aside a time so that you can listen to it alone, the lights down low, where you are comfortable and calm. Do whatever it is to set the mood. Then push play and be prepared to just be lifted to another world, dimension, universe. Juset let the music take you inside of your mind and have a pleasant little trip. This is definately music to relax and meditate to. Don't let that turn you off though if it does...because this music is your cure to killing off a stressful day, and just escaping for a while. My compliments to the Euphoria series for pulling off an incredible album. "If so, then you can try to imagine what this compilation is like... but this mix will exceed your imagination's expectations. Red Jerry's newest Euphoria mix is perfectly named. While maintaining the all-important elements of his earlier mix "Chilled Euphoria," he takes his skills to an obviosly much deeper level.I know how I hate it when someone writes "This mix is the best I've ever heard" because no matter which review you are looking at, someone always says that, and it doesn't help. But this is the best chill out mix I've ever heard. The chilled mixes of the songs are the same you would expect from RJ considering his earlier mix. (Blain Sandhag's mix of Space Manoeuvres's "Stage One" is so subtle, you can barely tell its the same song. And if you think you are sick of "Greece 2000" and Humate's "Love Stimulation" appearing on every DJ mix you own, you might be impressed by their new sound). All the tracks are quiet and hypnotic, but the tracks are darker and much more powerful than "Chilled" was. To me, this mix is quiet trance at its greatest. The ambience is present (and necessary), but it never overpowers the music.Disc One begins quietly with the uplifting sounds of "Maximum Reflection." There isn't much there in a musical sense, but its ambience builds beautifully into the tracks that follow. Each track is quiet and powerful, reaching deep beyond the boundaries electronica. The only track that doesn't belong is Rui Da Silva's "The Four Elements, Water". This piano & guitar track sounds more like it belongs on a Windham Hill jazz CD rather than a Euphoria mix, and seriously breaks up continuity of this disc. I'm not going to criticize RJ here though, because aside from this one track, the disc is incredible. The last track picks up the pace slighlty, so that when this disc is over, you'll be begging for more.Luckily, there's more. Disc Two also begins quietly, but sets aside the pure ambience in the beginning and goes right for the music. Xstasia's "Sweetness" begins slowly, but builds to an an impressive yet laid-back apex before continuing on to the quieter "Resurrection." The next tracks beautifully mix ambience with quiet trance, sneaking in faster rhythms and quiet vocals here and there. All the tracks can be described as hypnotic, beautiful, and uplifting. Disc two picks up the pace a little bit here and there, but the overall attitude remains very chilled.Like I said in my review of "Chilled Euphoria," if you are looking for the pounding techno party music and dance rhythms of other Euphorias and DJ mixes, look elsewhere. This CD is not for you. On the other hand, if you are on the constant lookout for the perfect chill-out CD, this is perfect for relaxing after a long day (or night), or just kicking back with a book. I've never heard Chill Out music quite like Red Jerry's mixes. I'm eagerly awaiting another!"

"Red Jerry is the master, he managed to seemlessly combine several odd tracks into one cohesive musical wonder. First it starts with the powerful sounding, "Maximum Reflection", they used a bold sounding synth with a soft chorus looming in the background, very nice. The second track, "Blind Vision" has nice echo harmony with that shimmering sound, very soft and beutiful. Then onto a strange, " My Soul is at the end of the Universe" a very long title, but the track is short and sweet, with the sound of light horns in the distance and glittery sound effects, it's great! Then there is the odd, "Melt", which has nice synths and enthnic sounding drums beating very lightly in the background and other strange ambient sound effects, excellent.
The tracks are all laid back and soft. My girlfriend said that it would make good "love music" when in the mood for romantic ambience, I couldn't agree more. Best of all, it comes in a two cd set and they are both excellent! You'll get the good kinds of chills when you hear this set as well. Thank you, Red Jerry, for bringing another sublime experience to our ears!"
Trance-ambient at its best

"Ive listened to all of the "Euphoria" mixes that have come out by various artists over the past half a decade, and I can honestly say this is the only set that wasnt a dissapointment. While most other "Chillout" mixes prove to be light trance that's really still too active to be able to chill out, this one manages to live up to it's name. Red Jerry has spent a lot of time on this one, and it shows. There's as much remixing as there is mixing, and the once-familiar trance tunes are turned into spacey masterpieces not heard elsewhere (I really hope some of them get released as full-length singles, because they're that good). If you're thinking about trying a euphoric-type compilation, this is your best bet. Consider it a gateway from trance to ambient, or vice versa; both listeners will appreciate this one."

"I love good techno music, but it seems you have to wade through a lot of thoughtless, monotonous stuff to find something interesting. "Deep and Chilled Euphoria" is the disc set that makes all that wading worthwhile. It walks a delightful line between ambient and melodic, rhythmic and arhythmic, sunny and melancholy. It will relax you, but it won't put you to sleep.Beats are used very sparingly, and when they are, they are light and gentle. Nevertheless, each track has a definite momentum and "energy" that feels invigorating even as it relaxes you. While avoiding overt melodies, Red Jerry masterfully weaves together strong, memorable musical themes which hook you in as they develop. The tracks blend smoothly from one the next, and are arranged on the disc(s) so as to take you through a musical journey with varying levels of intensity and mood, building toward a definite climax on the final track.Much more than just background music, "Deep and Chilled Euphoria" is full of flowing music that is relaxing but interesting. Several times I've popped one of these discs into my stereo, turned out all the lights, and laid out on the floor for an hour just absorbing the music. I was a little hesitant when I ordered this 2-disc set, but I only had to hear a few tracks to realize it was completely worth it. Now I can't imagine my CD collection without it."
