"i am very excited this is finally issued on cd. a lost classic! this incarnation of the red krayola pretty much consists of mayo thompson (of course) along with the original lineup of cleveland proto-punk avant-art-rockers pere ubu, and lora logic of essential logic and early x-ray spex. for me, that pretty much sells me on this album. an all-star lineup to say the least. a dream team for record geeks, right? too good to be true? see for yourself, trust me. well, give it another name and it might as well be "the art of walking" or "song of the bailing man" eh? maybe not. maybe so."

"The good folks at Drag City did a marvelous job in transcribing this, one of my favorite albums, to CD. It sounds just like the original LP issued on Radar without the hisses and occasional pops that LP afficianodos seem to miss so much. About the music. A few albums change the way in which you enjoy listening to and even what what you consider music. For me this was such an album. I got it in 1980 because I liked Parable of Arable Land, which Radar had reissued at the same time. I was not prepared for what I heard. I listened to it a couple of times and tried to like it but did not. Eleven years later, while bored, I pulled it out of my pile of records and gave it another try. I was astounded by how much of this unloved record I remembered. I was even more intrigued by how much more I liked it. The music was engaging, interesting, and challenging. The lyrics were, and still are, at times provocative, disturbing, and strangely funny. It was and still is a fresh hell of a listen."
