The Refugee All Stars album 'Living Like a Refugee' is the realization of a lifelong dream for this inspiring band of Sierra Leonean musicians who lived for nearly a decade in refugee camps in West Africa. Each song on 'Living Like a Refugee' is an original composition written during their years in exile in the refugee camps. The Refugee All Stars' album 'Living Like a Refugee' was recorded with the help of the filmmakers during the band's first visit back to Freetown in September 2003. The album was released in Sierra Leone in June, 2004 and soon after the band was honored with a "Best Newcomer" nomination at the 2004 Sierra Leone Music Awards.
