Member CD ReviewsHowie W. (Otheriver) Reviewed on 4/22/2020... Nashville Bread My interest in these guys is Jimmy Griffin. You know, the guy from Bread. He was the rockier half with Robb Royer. This album does feature one Bread song by the other half, Everything I Own (David Gates). A nod perhaps. This Nashville trio is pretty light, but I don't mind. Sounds a bit like Poco, Eagles, Pure Prairie League with a bit less rock. The harmonies are gorgeous. 1 of 1 member(s) found this review helpful. Lorelie L. from CLINTON, MA Reviewed on 12/5/2006... A wonderful album by a great group.
CD ReviewsFor Bread Fans Who Like Country Music... breadhead69 | 08/24/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "If you are familiar with the band "Bread", then you know James Griffin's Soulful voice. After leaving Bread, James worked on two solo projects, The firt being with Terry Sylvester from the hollies (Griffin & Sylvester) and the second with ex Eagle Randy Meisner (Black Tie). Then in the early 90's James formed the band "The Remingtons" of which this is their second cd and features James' cover of David Gates' hit "Everything I Own".
This is James at his best and his voice sound even better harmonising with the other members of the remingtons. However, James is not singing on all the tracks, but the other guy's voices are pretty good too!" |
