"This is a lovely album by Renato Braz whose style in today's Brasil is quite refreshing. He has a way of stripping songs down to their bare bones and quietly and beautifully reconstructing them into the simple, fine, original compositions they were meant to be. His voice is startling in it's clarity and straightforwardness; it reminds me of a younger Milton Nascimento, but with a style that is stricly his own. Dori Caymmi, the great composer, arranger and singer, was taken enough with this young artist to include him on his own, 2003 Grammy nominated album, Contempôraneos along with powerhouse artists like Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque and Edu Lobo. I think Caymmi was right on the mark with this remarkable young man. For an introspective look into Brasilian music, I highly recommend this album."
