"In my opinion, this album, Renaud's first, is also his best. I love the simplicity of many of the songs -- there is little more than a guitar and accordian accompanying Renaud on some of my favorite tracks. In addition to containing some of Renaud's well-known hits (societe tu m'auras pas and l'hexagone), this album also contains some more obscure songs that I think are simply brilliant (la coupole, and le gringalet). Renaud's talent, as a singer, songwriter, and lyricist, really comes through in this album, and I definitely recommend it for any Renaud fans out there."
