"This CD is a joy to own in the finest tradition of European interpretation of Mozart with very few liberties taken; a classic's classic so to say. Romantic and ethereal, the blend of orchestra and Nordic Chamber Choir haunts and fulfills. Intelligent gothic! Yet, for those wanting adventure from their classical music, this recording may fall short.Pamela Heuvelmans as soprano is truly beautiful. She studied at Maastrichts Conservatorium and it is rare to be able to hear her outside of the Netherlands. In keeping with a strict interpretation, her vocals stick superbly to the music's notes.Barbara Werner as alto is wonderfully rich and full, following in perfect time with the strings.Robert Morvaj, as ténor, reminds me of the young Pavarotti from my mom's 1960s vinyl recordings.Thomas Pfeiffer, basse, having collaborated on many other recordings is probably the best known artist on this CD after Mozart himself. He makes you feel like you are there live and that your speakers are the concert hall walls."
