"This recording shows the sanctity of Faure's. Andre Cluytens the same country with Gabriel Faure well expressed the religious style of france that is somewhat heavy and conventional mood. In this respect,Pie Jesu, the 4th movement is extemely beautiful. But there are slightly non-harmonic tune between orchestra and choruses in other mevements. Totally it's a very arrtacting recording. The choruses are good enough to indulge oneself in their sound. Especially Fisher-Dieskau proved his fame and popularity in this music. I think this requiem's appropriate purifying your soul."
Classic Recording!

"I must admit that this music leaves a mark in your heart. It deals with the very intimate issue of death and it's not neccessarily the happiest of classical music. However, I must admit that it is perhaps the most beautiful, serene and different pieces of music ever written.I do not like the fact that Cluytens uses a full size orchestra and chorus. I think the work sounds more intimate (as I believe it should) with smaller forces. However, ma boy Fischer-Dieskau is unbeatable in the solos. Try it, it can't hurt..."
