With an active musical life, a historical and acoustically excellent concert hall as well as several acclaimed international festivals, Klaipeda has become one of Lithuanias most important musical centers. In October 2013, in order to give a concert filled with Mozarts music and record the proceedings with the Klaipeda Chamber Orchestra, an international set of musicians gathered there legendary Austrian pianist Paul Badura-Skoda, Byelorussian pianist Rostislav Krimer, the wind group of the Liepaja Symphony and Estonian conductor Andres Mustonen.
