The First twelve tracks are taken from the classic Under Western Skies album, a small anthology of western melodies with enriched orchestration by the late Victor Young and his Orchestra. His truly great voice is as clear as if recorded yesterday. A total of 26 tracks complied from 2 different recording sessions. The first is with orchestra back up which I read gave him a standing ovation when completed. The second part is solo Rex with only his guitar. Hauntingly beautiful. Even if you don't have an interest in Rex Allen, this set is worth having in your collection. Don't hesitate. A country "hats off" and sincere thank you to the producer of this CD."
